Wednesday 2nd November

Today started with the children leading their very own assembly!
The Reception class stood up in front of the whole school and performed their song '10 bright rockets, twinkling in the sky.... one went pop and the other went bang!'
Mrs Smith then talked to the whole school about firework safety and how to keep safe with fireworks.

Mr Cannings had a lovely surprise for everyone, he had arranged for every child in the school to have access to a book to keep for ever.  There were non-fiction and fiction books to choose from!  Thank you Mr Cannings.

In phonics we looked a the letter 'l'.  The children all spotted that it looks a lot like the letter 't' but without the horizontal line.  They identified words that begin with the sound 'l' and looked at how similar it was to an upper case L.

In math's the children carried on with exploring the dominoes and working out how many dots were on each side of the domino and how to add up the two sets of dots.

In the afternoon Mrs Cooper took the children for their music lesson.
