Mrs Smith was very happy with how the had rem children remembered their so their sounds, so they looked at I and learnt the poem, down the insects body, and a dot for the head.
The children were thinking about birds today, because on Monday they are going for their first trip to a bird hide on the Isle of Wight. They thought about the birds they knew and what they looked like, from memory they coloured the birds in, trying to think about the colours. Later in the day they used a search engine to try and find the right colours and then had another try at colouring the birds in. We had robins, blue tits, black birds and even barn owls!
In maths the children were exploring the terms more, less, equal and Unequal. Using two handfuls of objects for comparison.
In English they made a noisy house of their own and were challenged to share their house and comment on who’s house they thought would be the noisiest!
