The children came into the classroom beautifully this morning. After choosing their colouring sheet and waiting for all their friends to arrive, they found their spot on the carpet. We learnt how to sit on the carpet and how to listen and a few classroom rules. The children played a game of musical bumps to help them try and locate their space on the carpet.
Carpet time
We read the story of the Billy Goats Gruff and the children joined in by tapping out the goats hooves and making different goat noises at different volumes depending on whether it was a big goat or a small one. We also thought about what the troll could eat if it couldn't eat the goats. Ice cream, sharks and fish were among the suggestions.

PSHE - We talked about how people like similar things and different things and we thought about what different food and sports people like. We did this as a talking activity.
